Heavenly Father I praise You for Your word. My faith stands on the fact that You inspired people to write Your words and that You have kept them accurate for thousands of years. I praise You for the examples of prophecies that were made by people inspired by You and then many years later fulfilled completely to demonstrate that You live outside of time. I praise You for the fact that You walk with me in time and cherish eat moment.
Holy Spirit You inspired Peter to tell us, “For we have not followed cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For He received honor and glory from God the Father when a voice came to Him from the majestic glory, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’ And we ourselves heard this voice, which came from heaven, when we were with Him on the holy mountain. And we have a more reliable word of prophecy, which you would do well to follow, as to a light that shines in a dark place until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of the Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation. For no prophecy at any time was produced by the will of man, but holy men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” [2Peter 1:16-21]
Holy Spirit Paul tells us in his writings inspired by You, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” [2Timothy 3:16&17]
Holy Spirit You inspired John to write, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were created through Him, and without Him nothing was created that was created. In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. The light shines in darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.” [John 1:1-5]
Holy Spirit as I work out my salvation that You have given to me for the rest of my life, help me to read Your Word, Learn Your Word, meditate on Your Word, Pray Your Word and be inspired by Your Word to make it applicable to my life. Help to pray through Your word so that I can help others and demonstrate Your love and grace. Remind me to use Your Word to draw faith and power in my prayers so that I can enter Your court and present petitions that align with Your will and walk in the path set before me.
But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their own ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. On some have compassion, using discernment. And others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.
