I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak His praises. I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt His name together. I prayed to the Lord, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to Him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my depression, I prayed, and the Lord listened; He saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the Lord is a guard; He surrounds and defends all who fear Him. Taste and see the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him! Fear the Lord, you His godly people, for those who fear Him will have all they need. [Psalm 34:1-9, NLT]
Holy Spirit Your word says: “For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you shall call upon Me, and you shall come and pray to Me and find Me when you shall search for Me with your heart. But for us, there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and through whom we exist.” [Jeremiah 29:11-13; 1 Corinthians 8:6, MEV] Help me to understand that the plans are from You for me. I need to call, come and pray, and search with all my heart. All things start and end with You, not me. I am Your creation. Even Enoch was recorded as going to walk with You until he just kept walking and was no more. He went to You.
Holy Spirit when I reach the end of my time here on the earth I want to be known as David was known when it is recorded in Your word, saying: “For after David had served by the counsel of God in his generation, he fell asleep, was buried with his fathers.” [Acts 13:36] I desire to be known as a man who served You because I listened to You. I desire to search and know You with all my heart, mind, and soul. I desire to commune my spirit with Your Spirit. I seek Your wisdom and knowledge and use understanding and discernment to fulfill the purpose You have for me. I will pray daily and seek You at all times in my life. I will meditate on Your word and principles so that I can live a full life, with all the fruits of the spirit growing within me. Teach me to live, breathe, absorb, and learn all of who You are and what You desire of me. Help me to die out to self-daily and to keep my mind constantly refreshing itself with Your words, and Your ways and to hear Your voice.
I thank my God always concerning the grace of God which was given to me by Christ Jesus, that I am enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in me, so that I come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm me to the end, that I may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom I am called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
