How do You Fight?

God, You are my God. I celebrate You. I praise You. You’ve done Your share of miracle-wonders, well-thought-out plans, solid and sure. Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him. [Isaiah 25:1, Message version; Isaiah 30:18]

Holy Spirit though I walk in the flesh, I do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of my warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when my obedience is complete. [2Cor. 10:3-6] Help me to remember that all people are God’s creation and given free will. Help me to also remember that the spiritual battle that goes on around me is not under their control. So, I need to demonstrate patience, mercy, grace, love and forgiveness as Christ did. I need to be strong in my faith and my belief of God so that I do not let man affect my thinking or my attitude. Help me to stand for true justice, and not man’s idea of fairness. Help me to stand up for the widow, the orphan, those who are weak, those who are homeless and those who need freedom. Let me demonstrate this in action and not just words. Lead my life to better the life of others. Help the selling of my books to help the orphans and school in Eswantini so that they can have a better life and know who You are. Help my books to inspire others to be doers of the word and not hearers only. Help the selling of my books to encourage people to claim the promises You have made so that they can defeat depression and conflicts in their life. Most of all help my prayers to build people up to make Your house, the church, a place of prayer for all nations. Let us pray in unity so that we can see Your mighty power and wonders occur in our communities and our country. Help us to be like Daniel and daily pray for the forgiveness and mercy of our people. Help us to be like Nehemiah and pray while building up our communities to be successful once more. Help us to have faith like Caleb so that we see God handling problems that our communities face instead of seeing the enemy defeating us. Help us to be bold like Peter and Paul to proclaim the hope that lives within us even if it means we will lose our reputation, but establish God’s reputation. Help us to be like Timothy and stand boldly even when people cast stones of hatred at us. And help us to pray with enthusiasm for each other to reach heaven which should be a better place than this.

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever, Amen. (Romans16:25-27)
