Helping Strangers Part Two of The Least of These

Heavenly Father I praise You for Your presence in my life through the Holy Spirit. I praise You for teaching me wisdom, discernment, and understanding. I praise You for being a God who is bigger, more powerful and so beyond my comprehension of what you can do, handle, and control. I praise You for helping me to see through Your eyes and not just blindly follow the world’s norms that lead nowhere.

Holy Spirit in Your word, Christ tells us through a parable: “Then the king will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;…” and the words Written by the Hebrew writer: “Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” [Matthew 25:34-35; Hebrews 13:1&2] Help me to always be willing to assist, talk to, and help strangers. Let me be discerning to know not to put others at risk, but help me to always be bold and humble enough to assist them. Let me understand the promptings of Your Spirit to know best how to address and approach them so that I can be Your shining light of hope in their eyes. Help me to rely on You on what I should say, do, and how I should react to strangers. Help me to be wise not to set myself up for entrapment by evil, sin, or Satan.

Praise be to You, God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed me in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose me in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love, he predestined me to be adopted as his son through Jesus, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which he has freely given me in the One he loves. In Him I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on me with all wisdom and understanding. And He made known to me the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. In Him I was also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, so that I, who has the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory. And I also was included in Christ when I heard the word of truth, the gospel of my salvation. Having believed, I am marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing my inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Amen. Ephesians 1:3-14
