He is Still Working On Me

Heavenly Father I praise You for patience You have with me.  I praise You that I am slowly learning how to take every thought into captivity.  I praise You for teaching me how to embrace Your word and I am starting to apply it to my life as much as I can to the wisdom I understand.  I praise You for allowing me and all who pray with me to have the opportunity to enter Your throne room and speak to Christ our advocate, and to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit I ask that You continue to work with me and on me with what I focus on and think upon every day.  Help me to be useful to God and to help build the kingdom and avoid all temptations that come my way.

I know that You (the Holy Spirit) was explained to us by Christ when He spoke and it was recorded by John 16:12-15—“I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.  However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;  for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak.  And He will tell you things to come.  He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine.  Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”  So I am claiming this promise in my petition in the throne room that I will learn Your will through the Holy Spirit and that I will be able to claim what is Yours to become mine while living on this earth.  This will mean that I will start to desire what You desire, love what You love, give mercy to what You show mercy to, apply what You have applied to walking in the Spirit.  Let me claim this above many of the other promises You have given us so that I can truly understand how I am to live my life completely sold out to You.

Therefore, since I am surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let me lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares me, and let me run with endurance the race that is set before me, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Therefore, since I am receiving  a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let me be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for my “God is a consuming fire”. [Hebrews 12:1&2; Hebrews 12:28&29] Let this be true in my life, Jesus, to whom I give all glory and my life for Your use, Amen.
