Heavenly Father I praise You for allowing me to mature and grow in wisdom in my walk with You. I understand that walk fully and breathe in a land that is cursed by the fall and sin. I understand that my very nature was corrupted and that only through the asking of forgiveness and for Your gift of salvation was my soul set free of the penalty of sin. I know that I am to live my life walking in Your presence, growing in wisdom and righteousness, serving my fellow man, and most of all doing my part to build Your kingdom here on the earth. I also understand, as those who have gone before me, that this does not mean I will not face trouble, trials, and pain. What I have learned in my 44 years of serving You is that my flesh may fail me, my mind may even fail me, people I thought I knew well may fail me, but You do not. You may not save me from the trial, the tribulation of life, but You will always be by my side, and when I cross the threshold of this life into eternity, You await me. I will then and only then be home, away from pain, sorrow, sin, and troubles to live life the way You had originally intended for me to live.
Only then will time not be a factor for me, only then will I truly fear death or evil. Only then will I see my savior face to face and know way more than I do now. Only then will I see all of heaven’s glory, Angels and other beings created by God. Only then will I understand the prophesies and know the fullness of God. Until then, let me live and work out my salvation so that I am walking the path You have set before me and enjoy that my name is in the Book of Life. Amen.
