Have no Fear

Heavenly Father I praise You and Your name, from now and forevermore. I praise You from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, Your name is to be always be praised. You, Lord, are exalted over all the nations, Your glory is above the heavens. No one is like You, for You sit on Your throne up high and yet You look down on the heavens and the earth, You raise the poor from the dust, the needy from the ash heap. (Psa. 113:1-7)    Help us to remember that as James told us, “What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” (James 4:14)

Holy Spirit remind me to not fear, for You are with me, help me to not be dismayed by Covid and all the death we have experienced this past year because You are our God and comfort.  I know You will strengthen, help and uphold me with Your righteous right hand.  For You are my God who takes a hold of my right hand and says to me, do not fear, I will help You. (Isa. 41:10,13)  Help me to be like Joshua and to listen to You as You say stand and have courage for today I will give You the promise land.  Let me be bold like Caleb and not see a mountain full of giants but a new home that You will give me to conquer.  Help me to be patient and enduring like Joseph as he was a slave, a prisoner and then You raised him up to third highest in Egypt.  Teach me to be faithful and always working as Mordecai so that I can serve You, my king faithfully.  Let me be brave and wise as Nehemiah so that I can help build Your kingdom while protecting and leading Your people.  Finally, help me to be like Daniel, praying fervently, faithfully and humbly for my fellow countrymen to repent and claim Your salvation.  Give me the wisdom to know how to pray and to pray with a bold desire to see change. Now may the Lord direct my heart into Your love and into the patience of Christ. (2 Thess. 3:5)  Amen. Amen.
