God is Real to Me

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy. Our Father, which are in heaven, You are worthy of our praise. Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise in the heights! Praise Him all His Angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Let them praise the name of the Lord. For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven. [Psalms 143:8; Psalms 145:13; Psalms 145:18; Psalm 147:11; Psalms 148:1&2; Psalms 148:13]

Holy Spirit I know within my heart that God reigns and is my creator. I know that I believe the scriptures to be inspired by God through man to be written to show me who God is and the salvation and desire He has for a relationship with me and everyone else. I know also that I live in a fallen world where sin, evil, death are all real. I also live in a world that gives me free will but many try to steal that from me.

Holy Spirit I will with all that I have live a life, that is a living sacrifice before God and that I will seek to renew my mind daily and to know Your will. I also know that I am weak and that without Your help I will never live the Holy Life I am expected to live. I realize I deserve nothing but hell, yet because of Christ I am made free and an adopted son. I know that I will never live up to the expectations of other people, but I seek to live up to the expectations You place on me. I also know that I am broken and that I can do nothing without You. I know that my speech spoken from me is sloppy and often offending but when You speak through me You are glorified.

Be gracious to me, O God, for man would crush me; all day long he who battles oppresses me. All day long my enemies would crush me, for there are many who arrogantly battle against me. In the day when I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God whose word I praise, in God I have trusted; I will not fear. What can mere flesh do to me? Every day they twist my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil. They stir up strife, they lurk they watch my steps, when they wait for my life. [Psa. 56:1-6] Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. I will trust in the Lord with all my heart and never lean on my own understanding and in all my ways I will acknowledge You so that You direct my Paths. Amen. Amen.
