Heavenly Father, I praise You for listening to me when I come into the throne room through Your Spirit. I thank You for Your desire to have a relationship with us, and that through the blood of Christ, we are made worthy enough to talk to You. The gift of salvation and the forgiveness of my sins is beyond my comprehension of why You still love us and want us to be in Your fold, and that You trust us to build Your kingdom here.
Holy Spirit, You inspired David to write: Lord, I cry out to You; Make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You. Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips. Do not incline my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men who work iniquity; and do not let me eat of their delicacies. [Psalm 141:1-4] Help me to pray as other saints and allow my prayers to build the incense in heaven that Revelation , talks about in 8:3. Help me to pray without ceasing like Daniel, pray boldly like Joshua, Caleb
and Nehemiah. Let me pray with sincerity like David and wisely like Solomon. Help me to pray with Your Spirit powerfully as Peter, John, Paul, and others of the Church talked about in Acts, so that I can see miracles, wonders, and healing done in Your name and for Your glory, so that Your kingdom can grow. Let me pray faithfully to constantly keep my mind renewed and focused. Let me pray faithfully so that I do Your will and draw close to You. Guide my meditations and words so that I honor and glorify You.
I pray and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I may walk worthy of the You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by You all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You for You. And You are before all things, and in You all things exist. And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. In Your blessed Son Jesus’ name, Amen. (Colossians 1:9-18)
