Can We Turn the World Upside Down?

Praise the Lord! For He has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. [Psalms 28:6-7]

Holy Spirit help me and those who pray with me to become so filled with You that we become like the Christians talked about in the book of Acts. Help us to make people accuse us as they did them when it was said, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.” [Acts 17:6] I am a person who loves history and one thing I have learned about the great revivals of our country is that people went ahead of the evangelist and prayed over the towns. Many famous pastors had people who would get to church early and pray in the basement or sanctuary ahead of the services so that the Holy Spirit would move. Churches have a history of praying until their communities witness something only God could do. I want to be a prayer warrior with others who are like-minded to pray so focused, so intently that God turns my community upside down and people can not deny what God has done. If we truly seek change in our country, we must be willing to unite, fast and pray. We need to forget our differences and unite in our one true heart for God. We need to be as John instructed to be known as children of God or disciples of God because of how we demonstrate love. Hate can be strong, and Fear can be devastating but love and faith disarms and destroys all of that. I seek the Power of the Holy Spirit to use me to change my world one prayer at a time.

But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their own ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. Some have compassion, using discernment. Others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 17-24 (MEV)
