Worshipping in Spirit and Truth

Heavenly Father I come to Your throne room and praise You for the morning that You have commanded for me today. I praise You for my salvation, my purpose, and my talents. I praise You for creating us with the intention that we would have a relationship with You and be part of the building of Your Kingdom.

Holy Spirit Your word says: “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are life. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this, all will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another. [John 4:23-24, John 6:63, John 13:34&35] I seek to be known as one of Your disciples so help me to display love. Help me to worship in truth and Spirit.

Let me continually offer the sacrifice of praise to You, oh God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to Your name. Help me to not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices You are well pleased. I will do my best to obey those who rule over me and be submissive for they watch out for my soul, and they will give account for how they lead. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for me. For I am confident that I have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. But I especially am urged to do this. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make me complete in every good work to do His will, working in me what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:14-21)
