What Kind of Worker Are You?

Heavenly Father I praise You for having a job that allows me to serve people and serve You. I praise You for allowing me to divide Your word and use it appropriately in prayer and practice. I praise You for helping me with creating books that would assist others in how to pray the promises of scripture back to You.

Holy Spirit I understand when Paul tells us, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” I also try to do my best to present myself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. I will avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and be deceived. But as for me, I will continue in what I have learned and have become convinced of, because I know those from whom I have learned it, and how in infancy I have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make me wise for salvation through my faith in Jesus Christ. [2Timothy 3:16&17; 2 Timothy 2:15&16; 2 Timothy 3:12-15;]

Holy Spirit help me to meditate on Your word, breathe in Your word, learn and understand Your word, and then apply Your word to my life so that I can be like the Word (Jesus).

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens He has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other nothing is hidden from its heat. The law of the Lord is perfect reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold, they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Amen. [Psalms 19]
