Heavenly Father, I praise You for teaching me wisdom through Your word, sermons, books, seminars, and experience. I praise You for allowing Your Spirit to guide and prompt me throughout the day. I praise You for having people who support me in prayer.
Your word says, “My help comes from the Lord, who made the heaven and earth. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” I understand that I am in desperate need of Your help daily, for I lack the bigger vision of what I need to do in life each day. I also understand that many have so much pride or fear that they never lean on You to help them, so they avoid wisdom and instruction because they know how they are going to live and what is safe to them, even if it is wrong and may hurt them in life. I have learned through experience that I must be more conscious and aware of what I eat if I want to live a full and productive life. I receive direction and learn what I can to make wise decisions. I am humble enough to know I don’t always know what is best for me. Many other things in my life are the same way. I lean heavily on Your Spirit to guide my thoughts, help me to watch what I say, what I do, how I treat others, and show me the way I should walk in life so that I honor You daily.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has given us a new birth into the living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that does not fade away, kept in heaven just for me; I am protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this I greatly rejoice, even though now, if for a little while, I have to suffer various trials, in order that the genuineness of my faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tried by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom, having not seen, I still love and in whom, though I do not see Him now, I believe and I rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, receiving as the result of my faith the salvation of my soul.
