Heavenly Father, I give You praise and glory for who You are. I praise You for being our Creator, Father, Friend, and that You are mindful of us. I praise You for helping me stand, especially when I am weak and fighting to hold onto my faith. I praise You for Your love that surpasses my understanding or my abilities to reciprocate properly or even fully to the level I should.
Holy Spirit, You inspired Paul to counsel Timothy with: Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, to which you are called and have made a good confession before many witnesses. [1 Timothy 6:12 MEV] Timothy would lead his church to one of the last churches to survive in what is now known as Turkey. I pray daily that I can be as bold, as faithful, as strong in my faith to stand to the last of my breath and honor You. My reputation will never measure up to any significance, but my faith in You will be the truest honor I can demonstrate in how I live my life. I fail with mistakes and foolishness daily, but I call on You, Holy Spirit, to guide me, supply me with the wisdom to live daily, and walk my path that God created me to walk. Help me to withstand the doubts that attack me daily, to refuse to give in to the anger that tries to consume me, to show love even when it is the last thing I want to do.
I pray and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I may walk worthy of the You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by You all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You for You. And You are before all things, and in You all things exist. And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. In Your blessed Son Jesus’ name, Amen. (Colossians 1:9-18)
