You, Lord are good, a refuge in times of trouble. You care for those who trust in You. (Nahum 1:7) We give thanks to You, You lead us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of Christ everywhere. For we are to You a pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. (2 Cor. 2:14&15)
Holy Spirit I ask that You would continue to work in the churches of the East Michigan Free Methodist Conference and the churches of all the prayer warriors who pray with me. I ask that You would build into us a house of prayer that prays miracles, wonders and signs into existence. Help us to pray so fervently that we see our communities changed. We know we are to serve, to speak, to tell of Your kingdom, but we also know that just as Jesus spent many hours in prayer communicating with the Father, we are to stay in communication with the Holy Spirit. Jesus told us that the Holy Spirit would speak to us what He has heard from Christ, He is to be our comfort, our guide, our provider of wisdom. Help us to never quench the Spirit when He begins to move among us and in our church and community. Help us not to fear what we don’t always understand for we know that You have a plan and that Your ways are higher than our ways.
Holy Spirit help me to trust in what Christ said that was recorded in John 14:12-14—“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 4:23-24—Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 6:63—It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are Spirit, and they are life. John 13:34&35—A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another.
Holy Spirit we give You praise for answered prayer as Trinity will be going home this week if everything continues to progress as it has with her new heart.
2 Thessalonians 1:11&12(the Message)—Because we know that this extraordinary day is just ahead, I pray for you all the time—pray that our God will make you fit for what He’s called you to be, pray that He’ll fill your good ideas and acts of faith with His own energy so that it all amounts to something. If your life honors the name of Jesus, He will honor you. Grace is behind and through all of this, our God giving himself freely, the Master, Jesus Christ, giving himself freely. Amen.
