Surprises and Blessings

Heavenly Father, I praise You for knowing and understanding my life, thoughts, desires, anxieties, and stresses. I praise You for being patient and giving me grace and mercy at times to help me make it through tough times. Help me today to take command of my day and to shake the evil from it.

Holy Spirit, Your word says, “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always pray for all the Lord’s people. Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” [Colossians 4:2, NLT; Ephesians 6:18, NIV, Jeremiah 33:3, NKJV] I have been amazed time and time again how You bless me when I least expect it. I have and will continue to come before You in prayer and to intercede for others. I was blessed yesterday when, in the mail, I received a check that I was not expecting to cover an expense that I was trying to

figure out how I would cover. You sent exactly what was needed.

Holy Spirit, I bring before You Ann Cottle and Chris Tomlin, who both have surgeries coming up to remove cancer. They need healing and mercy, for these are serious health issues for them. I lift them and anoint them before You with all who join me in prayer. James told us to bring those who are in need of healing before You and to have trust and faith in You. I seek Your will and Your healing for these two dear friends of mine.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Amen. [Romans 15:13]
