Heavenly Father I praise You for the existence of life and for life that can be eternal. I praise You for the fact that not only are You the creator, You desire to have a relationship with Your creation and to be intimately involved with us as long as we desire this too. I praise You for giving me faith and hope to sustain me through trials, temptations, storms, defeats, and even everyday mundane life.
Holy Spirit I desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus knowing I will face and suffer persecution. Evil men and seducers will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But I will continue in the things I have learned and have been assured of, I know and trust those whom I have learned and been monitored by in my life since I was a child and since I became a Christ follower. I have studied Your word since I was a child and have slowly made me gain wisdom that has led me to salvation and to a life of living for Christ. I understand that all scripture is inspired by You and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and instruction in righteousness, that I, a person who belongs to You, may be equipped for every good work. Holy Spirit I praise You for Your word and for inspiring the writers who wrote what Your Spirit spoke for them to write. I praise You for every promise, principle, warning, and wisdom that Your word gives to me as knowledge so that I can demonstrate my understanding and become a doer of Your word. I praise You for the opportunities You have provided for me, even when they stretch me into new areas of life. Help me as I speak and testify of Your love, grace, mercy, and the gift of Your Salvation. Help me to speak only the words You inspire deep within me. Help me to love with Your unshakable and forgiving love. Help me work and labor as if I were only doing it for You. Help me to see with eyes that see Your creation and interpret through Your wisdom. Help me listen to Your still soft voice and understand that You are speaking directly to me for my benefit. Guide my thoughts to stay on what is pure, what is just, what is right, and what is beautiful. Help me to constantly meditate and dwell on Your glory, goodness, and righteousness so that I may renew my mind to stand strong against the assaults of the enemy or my sinful desires. Help me to die out and become a living sacrifice that is completely and solely focused on doing Your will and Your will only.
Grace and peace will be multiplied to me through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given to me all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of God who has called me to His glory and excellence, by which He has given to me exceedingly great and precious promises so that through these things I might become a partaker of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. For this reason, help me to make every effort to add virtue to my faith; my virtue to knowledge, my knowledge, to self-control; and my self-control, to patient endurance; and my patient endurance, to godliness; and my godliness, to brotherly kindness; and my brotherly kindness to love. For if all of these reside in me and abound, they will ensure that I will neither be useless nor unfruitful in the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord. Help me to diligently make my calling and election sure so that when I add all these areas into my life I will not stumble and will be able to enter into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which will be abundantly provided for me.
