I will praise You, Oh Lord. Blessed be Your name from this time forth and forevermore. From the rising sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised. You are above all nations, and Your glory above the heavens. [Psalm 113:1-4] Help me to take command of my day, control of my tongue, take captive all my thoughts so I can shake the evil from my day, not hurt people with my words, and not allow temptation to have a foothold in my mind.
“Reveal for all people what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in You, God, who created all things through Jesus Christ, so that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He completed in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.” [Ephesians 3:9-12] Help me to remain in Your confidence so that I can continue to pray and have faith that I am and will always have access to You through the Holy Spirit who lives within this humble human walking temple. Let me be wise, have my eyes open to Your presence, and hand effectively moving in my life.
For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches, he may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within me, to Him be glory, Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
