I will humble myself, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift me in due time. I will cast all my anxiety on him because he cares for me. I will do my best to be self-controlled and alert. My enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. I will resist him, standing firm in the faith, because I know that my brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. [1 Peter 5:6-9] I will turn to You and seek directions so that I will know whether to stand or walk through the storm as it lashes out at me. You are my shield, my fortress, my comfort, my God all all-powerful who made the stars, the heavens, the world, and me. I know that You alone are more than any trouble that attacks me. I will walk through the shadow of the valley of death and fear no evil, for I have been cleansed by the blood of Christ through Calvary and given redemption through salvation to take my place as an adopted heir to heaven. Nothing is impossible for God in whom I put all my trust, faith, and hope. I will no longer worry about my life here, for this is just a step along the journey to my home in eternity.
