Heavenly Father, I give You praise for allowing me to work with youth for over 20 years, and now my son gets that opportunity. I praise You for Your faithfulness to my family and for answering many of the prayers that I brought to You over the years. Help me today to take command of my morning and shake the evil from it.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. We now stand united and bold as we pray that You will allow Your Holy Spirit to come down on November 7th and 9th to bring revival to the youth that will gather from the thumb at Millington Church of God to hear the message of salvation and that their hearts will be moved as the Youth for Christ teams presents the gospel and continues the disciple’s calling of spreading Your good news to all people and generations. I am confident of better things concerning the Bluewater Thumb Youth for Christ, yes, things that accompany salvation, though we speak in this manner. For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. [Hebrews 4:16; Hebrews 6:9-12] Let this opportunity at this lock-in to change hearts and start a fire that sweeps the thumb and the rest of Michigan with teens and eventually adults to turn their hearts to following You. Help these teens to take to heart what Paul admonished Timothy: Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. [1 Timothy 4:12; 2 Timothy 1:7]
I pray and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I may walk worthy of the You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by You all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You for You. And You are before all things, and in You all things exist. And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. In Your blessed Son Jesus’ name, Amen. (Colossians 1:9-18)
