I praise You, Lord, in my soul; will all my inmost being, I praise Your holy name. I do not forget all of Your benefits, like Your forgiving my sins, and healing my diseases, You redeem my life from the pit and crown me with love and compassion. You satisfy my desires with good things so that my youth is renewed like the eagle’s. You work righteousness and justice for all the oppressed…You are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. You will not always accuse, nor will You harbor Your anger forever; You do not treat us as our sins deserve, or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is Your love for all of us who fear You’ as far as the east is from the west, so far You have removed my transgressions from me. Holy Spirit I ask that You would put a hedge around Jacquetta and her family and keep them from harm and evil. Lift her up and bless her with Your love today. Bind depression, exhaustion, discouragement, and anxiety from her and loose onto her love, joy, peace of mind, courage, energy, wisdom and discernment. Bless her business and bless Derek within his work. Help them to be a light to their community and bless them with Your encouragement.
Holy Spirit put a hedge of protection around these children and young adults, help them to grow in Your wisdom, word, discernment, spirit, power, grace, compassion, love and forgiveness. Help them to make wise decisions and seek You daily. Build their faith and help them find the path you have laid out for them and courage to walk it. We pray for you, and ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (Colossians 1:9-18)
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Holy Spirit help us to bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. Teach us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. And over all these virtues help us to put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since as members of one body we are called to peace. Let us be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. And whatever we do, whether in word or deed, help us to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Amen. Colossians 3:12-17
