Heavenly Father, I praise You for Your word, for it is true and consistent. I praise You for continuing to watch over me and leading me. I praise You for Your Holy Spirit constantly working and molding me into the person You desire and giving me wisdom so that I can lead each day.
Holy Spirit, You inspired the Psalmist to write: For He knows we are formed; He remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field he flourishes. For the hot wind passes over it, and it is gone; the place where it was is not known. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep His covenant, and to those who remember to do His commandments. [Psalm 103:14-18] I am so thankful my grandparents and my parents followed and served Christ through their lives, so now I have received the blessing, and as I serve and follow Christ, my children are picking up the mantle and serving You. I pray that I can be faithful and lead well enough that my grandchildren will come to know You also.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Holy Spirit, help us to bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. Teach us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. And over all these virtues help us to put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since as members of one body we are called to peace. Let us be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. And whatever we do, whether in word or deed, help us to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Amen. Colossians 3:12-17
