Heavenly Father, I praise You for today and for placing guardrails in our lives to help us navigate life without falling off the path we are to walk. I praise You for Your word it brings comfort and wisdom to my mind. I praise You for the gift of Jesus and salvation, so that I can be covered and accepted by You. I praise You for the Holy Spirit, which prompts me, comforts me, enlightens me, and speaks softly to me so that I know I am not alone.
“You shall not commit adultery.” “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He may present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” “Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.” [Exodus 20:14; Matthew
5:27&28; Ephesians 5:25-27; Colossians 3:19] Holy Spirit, teach me and motivate me to love my wife with all that I can through You. Help me to protect, serve, pray over, be open with, and love my wife as my crown jewel, like the church is to You. Help me to be forgiving, tolerant, patient, and supportive as You are with me. Help me to discern and seek wisdom on how to talk to her, support her, and lift her to the very best she can be.
Praise be to You, God, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed me in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For You chose me before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in Your sight. In love You predestined me to be adopted as Your son through Jesus, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which he has freely given me in the One he loves. In You I have redemption through the blood of Christ, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Your grace that You lavished on me with all wisdom and understanding. And You are making known to me the mystery of Your will
according to Your good pleasure, which You purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. In You I was also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of God who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, might be for the praise of His glory. And I also was included in Christ when I heard the word of truth, the gospel of my salvation. Having believed, I am marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing my inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Amen. Ephesians 1:3-14
