My Salvation, Personal to Me

Heavenly Father, I praise You for being a personable God. I praise You for all of the investment You have made in the creation of each individual who has, is, or will walk this earth. I praise You that we are all individuals, with different gifts and ministries, yet we are to be united as one body.

Holy Spirit help me to break down the words You inspired Paul to write to the Philippians in Philippians 2:12-16—Even though I have demonstrated to my spiritual leaders obedience due to them for their experience and wisdom I am still held responsible for my salvation which I must continue to discuss, learn and apply in my life with the Holy Spirit as my guide and supplier of witness. As I examine my life daily and offer it up as a daily living sacrifice to You, I realize that I am fully exposed to Your scrutiny and measured by Your principles. I also know that I can’t fix myself alone. Only with Your Spirit can I learn to create new habits that are spiritually profitable while getting rid of wrong habits, desires, wants, and rights I have held onto for far too long. I know the reason You are investing so much into me is so that I can fulfill the purpose You created me for. I need to avoid grumbling and arguing for they destroy who I am and my testimony. By praising You, forgiving, and trying to love or bless I will stand blameless and demonstrate that I am Your child, fully submersed in Your way and love instead of being vulnerable or agreeing with the mindset of this evil dying world. I can keep my slate clean while this perverse generation rages on to its trip to hell. I will learn to become like the stars in the sky and shine or reflect Your light, joining with brothers and sisters, and as the stars all shining together reduces the darkness so will we in unity reduce the darkness of this sinful world. I must hold to, read, meditate, understand, and apply Your word to my life so that I live, breathe, and exude Jesus all the time and will be ready to give an account of my life with Jesus as my advocate to defend me from the accuser, Satan. I will know that when I take my last breath my life meant something to God and I will not have wasted the precious gift of salvation.

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. [1Corinthians 1:4-9]
