Love

Heavenly Father I praise You for loving us. I praise You for making us with purpose and hope. I praise You for sending us Jesus to be our Savior and for sending the Holy Spirit to be our Comfort and guide.

Holy Spirit Your word says and I am going to paraphrase: Because You loved us, Your creation made in Your image, that You gave Your one and only Son, that whoever believes in Jesus shall not perish but have eternal life. For You did not send Your Son Jesus into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Jesus is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son, Jesus Christ. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” [John 3:16-21]

Holy Spirit I come to the throne room before the King, Jesus, and humbly kneel with the realization that the only reason I am a child of God is because of His sacrifice to come to our world as a human, live among us and then die on the cross for payment for our sins, and then rose again to give us the hope of resurrection and eternal life if we will only confess our sins, and believe on and in Jesus. I also know that because of this gift, I will be changed. I will then live the rest of my life serving Christ with Your promptings and guidance. I will become a reflector of Christ’s light so that His kingdom can grow in this very dark and sinful world.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Amen) (Matthew 6:9-13)
