Little is Much in the Hand of God

I will not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. I will trust in the Lord, and do good; dwelling in the land, and feeding on His faithfulness. I will delight myself in the Lord, trusting also in Him. And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth my righteousness as the light. And my justice as the noonday. I will rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; I will not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. I will and need to cease from anger, and forsake wrath; I must not fret—it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, I will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. [Psalms 37:1-11]

Holy Spirit all through Your word I see when we are faithful to give God what little we have He multiplies it to do great things. Caleb was ready to take on Giants to claim the promise land, the widow who gave what was left of her meal to Elijah who then kept her barrel full, David defeating a giant with a sling, Gideon defeating an army of 100,000 men with three hundred men holding lamps and horns. The widow who gave her mite at the temple and Christ used her to teach. The boy who gave up his loaves and fish that would feed over 5000. Peter and John healed a man at the temple who was begging. The churches in Poland that have helped with the refugees from Ukraine. When we give all that we can for You to use, then we see the impossible become the possible.

I know our country became a country with less than a fourth of the men fighting the King and his army and yet they would gain their independence and forge a new country. I have seen simple beginnings break into huge revivals. Help us, as Your adopted children through the rebirth of salvation, give all that we can to make Your presence seen, and heard and build Your kingdom in our communities, states, and our country as a whole.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Holy Spirit help us to bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. Teach us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. And over these virtues help us to put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since as members of one body we are called to peace. Let us be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in us richly as we teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in our hearts to God. And whatever we do, whether in word or deed, help us to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Amen. Colossians 3:12-17
