Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons and daughters through Jesus, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:3-14
Holy Spirit I come to You to help me gain wisdom and serve God with all that I am. I seek to understand that God is light and no darkness can be found in Him. That if I live righteously and love my brothers and sisters I can claim to be His Child after being fully cleansed by His blood. I seek to be deeper in my relationship with You. I seek what many people of old use to call the “unction” or sanctification. I seek to become a person who walks in righteousness and hears Your voice above all that is going on around me. I seek to be a better father, grandfather, husband and a better person as a whole.
Holy Spirit help me when I speak at events that I will speak with Your voice through me. That I will not speak from myself but from Your word, Your authority and Your Spirit. Let my words always shine the light on You so that people are drawn to You. Help me to speak in a way that teaches people how to speak to You and to pray with confidence. Let me teach the importance of personal pray as Daniel demonstrated and corporate prayer as was seen by the church in Acts. Let me pray and speak always with Your direction so that it is about You and not about me. Let my testimony be told so others can realize anyone can live for You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
