The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the Lord, for he laid its foundation on the seas and established it on the rivers. Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not appealed to what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of His salvation. Such is the generation of those who inquire of him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, you gates! Rise up, ancient doors! Then the King of glory will come in. Who is the King of glory? The Lord of Armies, He is the King of glory.
Holy Spirit, in my heart I felt the sentence of death. But this happened that I might not rely on myself but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered me from such a peril, and he will deliver me again. On Him I have set my hope that He will continue to deliver me, as I help others by my prayers. Then many will give thanks on my and my friends behalf for the gracious favor granted to me and my friends who pray with me in answer to the prayers of many things. For my affliction, which is but for a moment, is working in me a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while I do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. I live by faith, not by sight. Since I have these promises, let me purify myself from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
I will remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their own ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But I, beloved by God through salvation, will build myself up in the most holy faith. I will pray in the Holy Spirit. Keeping myself in the love of God while I am waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. On some I will have compassion, using discernment. And others I will save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep me from falling and to present me blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God my Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
