Just Getting Through the Day

Heavenly Father, I praise You for being very patient, merciful, and allowing me grace. I praise You for being consistent, loving, firm, and understanding. I praise You for looking at my heart, past my word, past stupid decisions I sometimes make, and really knowing who I am. Help me today to see with Your eyes, to listen and understand, to speak with words that are not destructive or hurtful. Help me to most of what you desire.

Holy Spirit, I come before You today and simply ask to help me work through today and to handle my responsibilities and stress that I face with all the deadlines for work and college. Help me to be solid in my joy, peace, and hope so that I can be the person You desire me to be for today. Let me walk knowing You are with me and that You promised never to leave nor forsake me. Help me to meditate on Your word as I go about my tasks and to keep me open to Your voice and promptings.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you in due time. Cast all your anxiety onhim because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. To him be the power forever and ever. Amen. 1Peter 5:6-11
