Intercessory Prayer for the End of this Year

Heavenly Father I praise You for today. I praise You for being our Father, King, and Creator, and for Your desire to know us. I praise You for Your Son, Jesus, who You allowed to come to earth and live among us for a few years. I also praise You for having the Holy Spirit live within me and guiding me daily. Though I may never fully appreciate or understand the Trinity I am thankful You are one God in three persons to meet all my needs.

Let me abide in You, and Your words abide in me, so I can ask what I desire and have learned from You to desire, and then it shall be done for I believe Your word to be true. By this the Father is glorified, that I may bear much fruit; so, I can become Your disciple. [John 15:7&8] I also bear the responsibility and love for family and friends to pray for the intercession of those who either do not know You, have turned from You, or blame You for their lot in life. I pray for their salvation and forgiveness for their pride, anger, bitterness, or sinful desires. I faithfully bring these before You: Jack, Luke, Amanda, Eva, Isabelle, Doreen, Rachel, Quinten, Trent, Asa, Wyatt, Joshua, Sophia, Aletha, Josh, Brenna, Caleb, Rueben, Scarlett, and Sam. I come before You and continue to ask for them to be prodded, pushed, scared, or whatever it takes to lead them to salvation. I pray that You will not turn them over to their desires.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions and my sin is ever before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight, so that You are justified when You speak, and You are blameless when You judge. I was brought forth in my iniquity and sin, my mother conceived me. You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part, You make me to know wisdom. Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness, that the bones that You have broken may rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will return to You. Deliver me from blood guiltiness, O God, God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of Your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise. For You do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. In this, I submit myself, and these I have prayed intercession for to You, my Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen. [Psalm 51:1-17]
