Heavenly Father, I praise You for being a God who allows us to communicate through the Holy Spirit to You even when we can’t sit still for a minute. I praise You for understanding our heart, the pressures we face, and how we respond and think as we get through our day. I most of all praise You for not only walking with me but being the solid ground that gives me the confidence to face the ongoing chaos of my world and the world around me.
Christ said, “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so, you will be My disciples. [John 14:27; John 15:7&8]” My foundation of sanity when my day is completely running in chaos is the peace You provide to keep me centered and focused. I rely on the wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and discernment that You provide me to act righteously and judiciously in all situations I face as a leader, a parent, and a grandparent. I do my best to listen to You in the storm, before the storm, and after the storm to be sure that I respond and walk as I should as Your living temple, or in modern language, Your representative in the flesh here on the earth. Let the words I use, the thought process I need to use, and the actions I do all be what You desire of me to do while I face the storm of chaos, whether at work or home.
Now may the Lord of peace himself always give me peace in every way. Lord, be with me today as I try to stay calm. Amen. [2 Thessalonians 3:16, paraphrased by me to personalize this verse.]
