Heavenly Father, I praise You for today and for continuing to love me even when I fail miserably at times. I praise You for giving me hope and grace so that I can continue to move forward in life. I give You praise and honor for being my Creator, Savior, Leader, and Friend. Help me today to take command of my day and shake all the evil from it.
Holy Spirit, Paul wrote that You help us in our weaknesses. Especially, when I am unsure what or how to pray, You will become the intercessor for me because You know my heart and mind better than I do and can speak to God on the throne in my behalf. I know this because Your word has told me that You search my heart and You know the mind of my Spirit. I leave myself in Your hands today, for I am not sure how I should pray, for I am facing things that I still have to sort out. I am weathering some storms in my family and with who I am in You. I will humble myself, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift me up in due time. I will gladly cast all my
anxiety on him because he cares for me. I will learn and be self-controlled and alert. My enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking to devour. I will seek Your Spirit to help me resist him, standing firm in the faith, because I know that my brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called me to his eternal glory in Christ, after I have suffered a little while, will himself restore me and make me strong, firm, and steadfast.
