Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. [Matthew 6:9-13]
Holy Spirit, I praise You that You have brought to my understanding what You inspired Paul to write long ago: “Since I am justified by faith, I have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also I have access by faith into this grace in which I stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but I also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; character, and hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in my heart by the Holy Spirit who was given to me.” [ Romans 5:1-5] I may not always feel peace in my life as I walk with You through trials, tribulations, and just plain hard times of life but I am reassured that I do have peace in You, and because of You I have hope which is the ultimate key to peace in a person’s life.
But, I will remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of Jesus Christ. They said to all who would listen, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their own ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But I will build myself up in my most holy faith. Praying in the Holy Spirit. Keeping myself in the love of God while I am waiting for the mercy of Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. On some I will have compassion, using discernment. And others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.
