I Have Been Transferred

Heavenly Father, I praise You for the life You have granted me to live, and I praise You that You walk with me and stand beside me through trouble and hard times. I know I am not perfect, far from it, but You love me anyway. You desire a relationship with me, and You have a plan for my life. I seek to fulfill it. Help me today to take command of my day and shake all the evil from it.

Your word says: You have delivered us from the power of darkness and have transferred us into the kingdom of His dear Son. [Colossians 1:13] This is one transfer I fully appreciate. I have had transfers in the past that have changed my life significantly, and not always for the better, but this transfer is life-changing and a blessing. What a wonderful and amazing God we serve, who created us with freedom, purpose, and hope. He made a way for us to unite and abide in Him after the fall of man from Adam, and then after Noah. I am so desirous of heaven when I no longer have to fight against sin and the decaying of my body. One day, I will be fully the person God intended me to be. Until then, I will strive to move closer to Him and be more in tune with His Spirit than the chaos of this world.

I pray and ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that I may walk worthy of the You, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You; strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified me to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness and conveyed me into the kingdom of the Son of Your love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by You all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through You for You. And You are before all things, and in You all things exist. And You are the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things You may have the preeminence. In Your blessed Son Jesus’ name, Amen. (Colossians 1:9-18)
