Heavenly Father, I praise You for being a God who listens, knows me, and has a plan for my life. I praise You that as Your child, I can trust in You even when things don’t go as I plan. Help me today to take command of my day and shake the evil from it.
Holy Spirit, these past two weeks have been anything but what I had planned for. I praise You for walking with me each step of the way and getting me to this point. I continue to seek wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and discernment. I continue to want to abide in You as You abide in me. Help me to understand what it is to be Your living temple and representative to the world around me. Let me live my life as a living sacrifice so that I can learn an do your will. Show me how to continue to renew my mind with good books, friends who sharpen me, the experiences You open my eyes to, and Your word. Let me have the confidence of David to know that You prepare a table in the midst of my enemies and lead me by green pastures and fresh water. Let me learn to be a spiritual tree that drinks from Your water and stands tall and true bearing fruit so that I can serve You with all my heart, mind, and soul.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. (2 Corinthians 1:3-7)
