I am Not Perfect, Just Forgiven

Heavenly Father I praise you even on days when life is hectic and frustrating. I praise
You when things don’t go the way I want them too. I praise You for the sunshine and the rain for we need both for growth to occur. I praise You that we do not stay in one
season forever but move on.

HolySpirit, You inspired Paul to write while in prison this: “Apart from the law,
the righteousness of God is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the
Prophets. This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all
and upon all who believe, for there is no distinction. For all have sinned and
come short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God has set forth to be a propitiation
through faith, in His blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness, because
in His forbearance God had passed over the sins previously committed, to prove
His righteousness at this present time so that He might be just and be the
justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.” [Romans 3:21-26]

HolySpirit I admit that some days I easily get frustrated and offended but then I
must turn to You to help me forgive and move on. This does not mean I keep
going to that particular well to draw more frustration, but that I hold nothing
back from forgiveness so that I can remain forgiven. Let me die out to self
each day so that my focus and function are for Your glory only.

HolySpirit I prayed for healing for Sara yesterday but she is now in Your care and
completely healed forevermore. I now pray for her children who are 9, 11, and 13 that they may find a home that will love on them, rear them in wisdom and teach them about Your love, and to help them grieve the loss of their mother. Holy Spirit I pray that people will give them love and understanding, not pity. I pray for their strength and resolve to remain a family in this very destructive world that tries to tear us down. You
are the God of the orphan and the fatherless so I call on You to do what You have promised in Your word to look after these three and to help them weather this storm and to stay a family and be taken care of.

HolySpirit I know that Your word is true. I know that You were sent here to comfort
us and to lead us each day in how to live. Draw close to these children and speak into their hearts. Lead all of us adults in what should be done for those who need us now more than ever. We ask for wisdom, discernment, and strength to do what is right. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
