Humbling Myself so that I Can Pray

Heavenly Father I praise You for finally getting rain. I praise You for taking care of our needs. I praise You for Your love which never ends. I praise You for Your creation and for giving me a purpose and hope. I stand on the bedrock of faith, hope, and love.

Holy Spirit as Your adopted child through my rebirth from salvation, I humble myself with my fellow prayer warriors and kneel before You and speak (pray), I seek Your face and am doing all I can with the assistance of the Holy Spirit to turn away from wicked ways. I seek for You to hear from heaven, forgive my sins, the sins of my family, community, state, and country and to heal my property, my town, my state, and my country. There is much division among the people of my country and even among the brethren and sisters who claim You as their savior. Help us to not be a divided house. Help us to become people who fight by praying and uniting in faith.

Holy Spirit help me to follow Paul’s advice when You inspired him to write: I will work out my salvation with fear and trembling. For God is working in me, both to will and to do His good pleasure. So I will not murmur or get into disputes, so that I may be blameless and harmless, a son of God, without fault, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which I shine as a light in the world. Hold forth the word of life that I may rejoice on the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain. [Philippians 2:12b-16]

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:9-11
