He Lives So I Live

I will praise You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. I will be filled with joy because of You. I will sing praises to Your name, O Most High. My enemies retreated; they staggered and died when You appeared. For You have judged in my favor; from Your throne, You have judged with fairness. You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; You have erased their names forever. The enemy is finished, in endless ruins; the cities You uprooted are now forgotten. You, O Lord reigns forever, executing judgment from Your throne. You judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. You, Lord, are a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for You. [Psalm 9:1-10]

Holy Spirit Your word says that if I trust in You with all my heart and with all my soul, lean not onto my own understanding and write Your principles and promises on the tablet of my heart then You will make my paths straight and teach me how to live my life the way You intended. [Prov. 3:3-6] Christ told us that because He lives, I live also. [John 14:19] I have been freed just like the man Your word talks about in Mark 5 and I want to be like him and declare the great things You have done to my home, to my community, to my state, and my country.

Holy Spirit I seek wisdom from You daily so that I can understand and discern how to live fully the life God created me for. I want to live with hope in my heart because I stand on the bedrock that I was created for a purpose, and I was given talents and knowledge of how to enjoy a fulfilled life with God as my centering. Help me to die out to myself so that I can fully and completely reflect You without marring the view in any way.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him. We know we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most Holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. [1 John 5:4&5; 1 John 5:14-15; 1 John 5:18-20; Jude 20&21; Jude 24 & 25]
