Praise the Lord! Praise God in His Sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heaven! Praise Him for His mighty works; praise His unequaled greatness! Praise Him with a blast of the ram’s horn; praise Him with the lyre and harp! Praise Him with the tambourine and dancing; praise Him with strings and flutes! Praise Him with a clash of cymbals; praise Him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord! [Psalm 150, NLT]
Holy Spirit I am a child of God through salvation. As a child of God, I am considered a person of “the Way”, a Christian, or a people of the wind. Often the Spirit of God is translated as wind. This gives insight into how we should live. Help me to be like the physical wind and always in motion moving forward. Help me to refresh when needed but powerful when that is needed. Help me to create energy and to push storms in the past with prayer. Remember what God told Gideon: Go in this strength of yours…. Have I not sent you? And Paul said: But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. [Judges 6:15, 2 Corinthians 12:9] Help me to step forward and not stop moving towards the will of God. I know that every step I take in life is full of risks but not walking incurs death, while walking means I get to live life even if it has falls, fails, or hurts along the way. God promises to be with me, and supply me with what I need but not to keep me safe from troubles, tests etc. I can’t comfort others as Paul wrote if I have not been comforted. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we are comforted of God. [1 Corinthians 1:3-4] I know the comfort You provide while I go through tribulation. I have faced death multiple times, lost a son, and struggled to be a good husband, father, and grandfather trying not to cause my family any pain, but sometimes I say or do hurtful things and must ask for forgiveness. What I know is that God is there with me, forgives me, loves me, and encourages me through these times of failure and tribulations. Help me to be mighty when needed, soothing when appropriate, and to be felt but not seen most of the time. Let Your Spirit blow through me and with me. Let me live a life that is truly living.
Praise be to You, God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed me in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose me in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love, he predestined me to be adopted as his son through Jesus, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which he has freely given me in the One he loves. In Him I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on me with all wisdom and understanding. And He made known to me the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. In Him I was also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, so that I, who has the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory. And I also was included in Christ when I heard the word of truth, the gospel of my salvation. Having believed, I am marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing my inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. Amen. Ephesians 1:3-14
