Glory to God

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, and goodwill toward men.” “Holy,
Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” Worthy is the
Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and
honor and glory and blessing!” “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!” [Luke 2:14,
Revelations 4:8 and 5:12&13]

Holy Spirit I give all praise to You, to God, and to Jesus Christ. I praise You for my creation, my salvation, for the comfort and wisdom I receive daily as I walk, breathe, and muddle through the day. Change your life, not just your clothes. Come back to God, your God. And here’s why: God is kind and merciful. He takes a deep breath, and puts up with a lot, this most patient God, extravagant in love, always ready to cancel catastrophe. Who knows? Maybe he’ll do it now; maybe he’ll turn around and show pity. Maybe, when all’s said and done, there’ll be blessings full and robust for your God! And it will be that, afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. “Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord, and seek the Lord of hosts. I myself will go also. Yes, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts…and to pray before the Lord.” [Joel 2:13&14, Message version; Joel 2:28; Zechariah
8:21-22]

I will exalt You, my God and King, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unfathomable. One generation shall praise Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty and of Your wondrous works. They shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall abundantly declare the fame of Your great goodness and shall sing of Your righteousness. For You are gracious and full of compassion and slow to anger, and great in mercy. You are good to all, and Your compassion is over all Your works. All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your godly ones shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power, to make known to people His mighty acts and glorious majesty of His kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord upholds who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon You, and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. You are righteous in all Your ways and loving in all Your works. You are near to all who call upon You, to all who call upon You in truth. You will fulfill the desire of those who fear You; You also will hear their cry and save them. You preserve all who love You, but You will destroy the wicked. My mouth shall speak the praise of You, and let all people bless Your Holy Name forever and ever. Amen. [Psalm 145]
