Heavenly Father, I praise You for Your word and the wisdom and knowledge it can provide. I praise You for the testimonies of those who lived before me, who either knew or opposed You. I praise You for the prophecies that are also there to give us hope of what is to come.
Holy Spirit, many prophets recorded in the Word told of the messiah coming, of how Abraham’s seed would bless many nations, and some of the time when Christ will not just rule in people’s hearts but rule us physically for eternity. Daniel talked of this in chapter 7 of his recordings. John gave us a glimpse when he wrote Revelations. Ezekiel and Isaiah, and even the Psalmist told pieces of what is to come. Even Christ told us that He would return. I long for the day for that to happen, but for now, I must live each day serving God with the help of the Holy Spirit. I must die to myself as a living sacrifice so that the Holy Spirit who dwells within me, a living temple of God, can allow the Spirit to speak, prompt, give wisdom, and help me to do the will of God for that day. I must constantly put on my Spiritual Armor and renew my mind with prayer, meditation of Your word, and with testimonies of others so that I can clear out and be dead to sin and temptation. Help me to take one step at a time and follow the path to fulfill my purpose in life. Help me to show love, forgiveness, wisdom, and discernment. Let me be a reflection of Christ when I can. Help me to stand for justice, be obedient to the principles of Christ, and serve where I can.
But, beloved, remember the words that were previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last days there will be scoffers who will walk after their ungodly desires.” These are the men who cause divisions, sensual, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God while you are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life. On some, have compassion, using discernment. And others save with fear while pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to
keep you from falling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with rejoicing, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen. Jude 17-24 (MEV)
