Broken but not Defeated

Heavenly Father I praise You as the sun rises in the east. I praise You for allowing me to command the morning through Your Spirit. I now ask that You allow Your Spirit to move among the people who I constantly pray intercession over and ask that You open their eyes to the truth, to Your love and desire for a relationship. I pray they will open their hearts to Your salvation.

Holy Spirit I come through You to the throne room before Jesus, my intercessor and redeemer. I come to a broken man who has faced and lost much, yet I give glory and praise for I am not defeated because of Christ’s salvation. Hope still burns in my heart and I will continue to move forward despite the scars and hurts I have endured. I will live because I am more than a conqueror through You.

Holy Spirit help me continue emboldening my faith, learn to love with all I have and honor You day and night. Let my words, actions, desires, and thoughts reflect the depth of salvation within my heart. Help me to pray with conviction and faith that sees mountains moved and giants defeated. Let me remember humility and embrace it as my strength because all victory and success comes through and from You. Help me to continue to be faithful to You and Your principles while I fulfill the purpose You created me for.

Therefore, I will humble myself under God’s mighty hand so that he may lift me up in due time. I will cast all my anxiety on him because he cares for me. I will demonstrate self-control and be alert. For my enemy, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. I Resist him, standing firm in the faith because I know that my brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering. And the God of all grace, who called each of us to his eternal glory in Christ, after I have suffered a little while, will himself restore me and make me strong, firm, and steadfast. To him be the power forever and ever. Amen. 1Peter 5:6-11
