Heavenly Father, I praise You for Your word for it gives me hope and helps me stand with faith that You are the One True God. I praise You for sticking by me when I am not very lovable or lacking in faith. I praise You for inspiring the writers of Psalms for they often speak as my heart does.
Holy Spirit Your word says, “You are near to the broken-hearted, and saves the contrite of Spirit.” “I have been instructed most of my life on how to live in order to please God, as in fact, you are living. Now I am urged in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.” “For You have turned my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, so that my glory may sing praise to You and not to be silent.” [Psalms 34:18, 1 Thess. 4:1, Psalm 30:11-12] Holy Spirit I have been doing all I can to please God through Your example yet I fall short often. Lately, it seems the deeper I search, the more I read, the more I pray the more silence I feel. Help my unbelief. Help me to stand on the promises of Your word that You are always near and walk by my side bearing my burdens. Allow me to be aware of Your presence and the Holy Spirit working in my heart.
Holy Spirit help my faith to be strong enough that when I don’t hear You or feel Your presence near me to be solid with the hope You instilled in my heart that You are still here. Help me to stop and make sure that my heart is open, cleansed, and ready to serve. Help me to shred my pride and humbly accept whatever trial, whatever my condition or circumstances in life at this moment that I am Your child and that I give all that I am to You. Help me to walk with the wisdom You have taught me and instilled in my heart. Let me live my life bearing my cross following You whether I see what is ahead or not. Give me strength and courage to stay the course and serve You no matter what. You never promised that life would be easy, only that You would be with us.
Today Lord let me take command of my morning. Hear Your voice if You choose to speak and to stand, walk and be the living sacrifice I NEED TO BE. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
