Believing and Confessing

Heavenly Father You alone are worthy of all praise and glory. I praise You personally for my salvation and for the path to walk and grow in faith. Though I may not see at the time the benefit of trials and tests, they make me into the man You desire me to be. The only thing I can take to heaven is my character which You constantly refine daily. I praise You for Your grace, mercy and for making me with the free will to choose You as You have pursued me.

Holy Spirit Your word says: This is the word of faith that we preach: that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be ashamed.” [Romans10:8-11] I ask that I may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; so that, I can walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, pleasing to all, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might according to Your glorious power, enduring everything with perseverance and patience joyfully, giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled me to be a partaker in the inheritance of the saints in light. You have delivered me from the power of darkness, and You have transferred me and my brothers and sisters into the kingdom of Your dear Son, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. [Colossians 1:9-14]

I am resolute to follow Your principles and to walk uprightly before all. I will do my best to testify of Your mercy, grace, forgiveness, and glory. I will treat my life as a living sacrifice to learn, live and know Your perfect will. I will constantly renew my mind so that I may be focused and able to listen, dwell on and respond to all that You give light to in my life. I will learn to trust, grow in faith and understand that only through Your will and power can I move forward or know joy. I will do my best to not to interfere when You prune me so that I may bear the best of spiritual fruit so that Your kingdom can grow.

Let me continually offer the sacrifice of praise to You, oh God, that is, the fruit of my lips, giving thanks to Your name. Help me to not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices You are well pleased. I will do my best to obey those who rule over me, and be submissive for they watch out for my soul, and they will give account for how they lead. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for me. For I am confident that I have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. But I especially am urged to do this. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make me complete in every good work to do His will, working in me what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:14-21)
