Becoming an Adult in Walk

Heavenly Father I praise You for giving me the opportunity to help a 23 who was in a car accident to stay with him until help arrived. I praise You for the training I have had over the years to understand fully what I needed to do. I praise You for a wife who has helped me prepare for such situations.

Holy Spirit, Your word says, “by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, like an infant, is not acquainted with the teachings of righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Therefore, let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about cleansing rites, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so.” [Hebrews 5:12-6:3] Holy Spirit help me to continue to dig deep into Your word and get the true deeper message that I need to understand in order to live a righteous life before You. Help me to become strong and aware in my faith so that I can be like the mature Christians from the time of Hebrews and be able to be mature in how I use the gifts You give me to use.

Holy Spirit help me to learn to teach through prayer, through my books, through groups I may join, by my testimony and by how I conduct my life. Let me continue to grow in Your word, wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Let my life be a living sacrifice, so that I can know Your will and live accordingly. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, my Rock, and my Redeemer. [Psalms 19:14]

I constantly pray that our God may count me worthy of His calling and that by His power He may fulfill every good purpose of mine and every act prompted by my faith. I pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in me, and I in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. [2 Thessalonians 1:11&12] Finally, brothers and sisters, pray for me that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. I have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things He commands. May the Lord direct our hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance…. Now may the Lord of peace himself give us peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. [2 Thessalonians 3:1-5, 16] In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
