Heavenly Father, I give You praise for today and for allowing me to be who I am. I praise You for the salvation and hope that I have. I praise You for being a God surpassing in greatness of Your power towards me, because I believe as I witness your mighty power. [Ephesians 1:19] Help me to take command of my day and shake the evil, doubt, and fear from it and live fully for You.
Holy Spirit, I come to the throne room through You to seek guidance, discernment, and wisdom that I am serving You the way You desire of me. As David said many times, search my heart and if there is anything I need to clean up, give to you or forgive or be forgiven for, please enlighten my heart, mind, and eyes so that I can do so promptly and correctly. I want to be reassured today that I am okay in Your sight. I will never make people happy, but it is You I desire to please. Help me to walk, talk, think, and behave as You desire today.
Let me continually offer the sacrifice of praise to You, oh God, that is, the fruit of my lips, giving thanks to Your name.
Help me not to forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices You are well pleased. I will do my best to obey those who rule over me, and be submissive, for they watch out for my soul, and they will give account for how they lead. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for me. For I am confident that I have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. But I especially am urged to do this. Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make me complete in every good work to do His will, working in me what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:14-21)
