Heavenly Father I praise You for providing good authors to learn more about You and how to pray. I praise You for the book by John F. Hannah who wrote the book Just Pray. I praise You for the wisdom he gives in the acronym of ACTSI (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication, Intercession), which breaks down how to pray from the Lord’s prayer. I praise You for each day learning something new so I am continually growing.
Holy Spirit I praise You for being my comfort and my messenger telling me the will of God. I praise the Father, the Son and You, the Holy Spirit for being the one God in my life with three distinct parts like me. Since I was created in Your image I have learned that who I am (is like the Father), the person see in physical form (is like Jesus Christ) and the essence of what drives and motivates me (is like the Holy Spirit) making me 3 in 1 also. I praise You for the wisdom You provide through Your word, through experience, through testimonies from others and from listening to the You.
Holy Spirit I stand before You and Christ in His throne room a person who is far from perfect. I ask that You continually search my heart and help me to remove any unforgiveness, any wrong desires, any resistance to Your will. Help me to be washed by You and fully ready to serve You in any way that You desire of me.
I praise You for my wife, children, grandchildren, job, home and all that You have allowed me to do in life. I praise You that You consider me a son and will discipline me to help me to learn to grow in maturity to do Your will. I am thankful for the Holy Spirit walking with me through my darkest times and my grieving.
Holy Spirit I come today on bended knee before Your throne realizing that what I truly desire I Your will to lead my prayers. I ask for it is the only way I know to communicate to You. I also desire that You answer with Your will in mind not just answering and sending leanness to my soul. I want Your will above all even if it is different than what I ask for because You know all.
Holy Spirit I come before You today and ask that You would watch over Ryan’s extended family that is having a funeral today for a young man who committed suicide. I also bring Kayla before You who needs a complete healing of her body. She has been serving You in spite of all that is going wrong in her body. I believe not only can You heal her but You can use her testimony to inspire the next generation of Your power and love.
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. For we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. But I especially urge you to do this, ….Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.
